We have been developing and maintaining grounds of businesses for many years, catering to a range of needs, which include grounds maintenance, landscaping, gritting and snow clearance, interior office plants and a Christmas decoration service.

The team

Tim Howell Managing director

Tim Howell is the managing director for Mitie's landscapes business. Tim joined Mitie in 2002 to launch the landscaping business alongside fellow director, Larry Jones. Over the past decade he has developed the strategic direction of the business to help realise a substantial growth rate of over 30% between 2010 and 2012 alone. The business delivers grounds maintenance and landscaping, winter services, gritting, and tropical interior plants solutions to a range of blue chip financial organisations, retail groups and property management companies throughout the UK.

Andy Barton Operations Director

Andy has been employed in the landscaping industry for over 14 years, and has been employed by Mitie for the last 12 years. Andy has ambitiously worked his way through various supervisory and management levels. During his career he has gained extensive practical experience and technical knowledge of managing grounds maintenance and landscape contracts which include interior and exterior projects, as well as operational delivery for the winter services throughout the south. Andy works very closely with clients and builds strong relationships with them and their representatives. He ensures we have a thorough understanding of the client’s needs.

Debbie Wall National Accounts Director

With nearly 20 years in the industry, Debbie is highly regarded within the landscaping world. Debbie has focused on multi-site portfolios with particular emphasis on managing agents and retailers. Debbie runs the Sales and National Accounts of the business. She strongly believes in good customer management to enable repeat and additional business and this strategy has ensured that the company is a leading player in the industry.

Daniel Binns Business Development Director

Daniel joined Mitie in 2015 with almost 20 years experience in the landscapes industry. Throughout his career he has worked with a diverse range of clients in the maintenance, development and quality management of landscapes. Daniel’s experience in project management, partnership development and management support has helped to grow and develop the business and support new opportunities across Mitie.

Robert Bedwin Head of Operations, South Region

Robert is the head of operations (southern region) for Mitie’s landscapes business and has been working for Mitie for the past 8 years; he has played a key role in large scale landscape construction works for major blue chip companies including British Airways. Aside from having over 28 years’ experience in the landscapes industry, Robert has also gained both NDAH and IOSH qualifications. Robert is responsible for delivering all operational activities across Southern England including exterior and interior grounds maintenance, winter services and landscape construction projects.

David Slater Head of Operations, North Region

David has been working in the landscaping industry for 22 years and employed by Mitie for the last 12 years. David was an instrumental figure in the start up of Mitie's landscapes business. He is passionate about delivering a great service to our customers and is committed to improving the standard and aesthetics of the sites that Mitie maintain. David and his team of 19 managers are responsible for delivering Mitie's whole range of landscape services to all the customers in the North of the UK.
